A guided meditation drawing attention to breath & body awareness. This practice is done in Savasana (bring whatever allows you to be comfortable)and targets alpha brain waves. These brain waves are present in the body right before sleep and allow the body to be in a concentrated, meditative state. This powerful practice promotes deep relaxation in the mind, body and soul.
This is an invitation to reflect on and embrace the deeper symbolism of Autumn in a contemplative practice that consists of gentle warm ups, grounding pranayama, and restorative postures that encourage physical and mental release and healing, cleansing us as we enter this season of transition. Essential oils will be diffused, weighted sandbags will be used, and the healing techniques of Reiki will be shared during the class to bring about deep relaxation.
This class is for athletes from 5th to 12th grade who would like to prepare their bodies and minds for peak performance in athletics. Regularly practicing yoga can help breathing, flexibility ,improve motion in the joints, and increase blood flow along with building strength, confidence and endurance. Yoga can also help prevent injuries and speed recovery from strenuous workouts.
Children will learn yoga poses, breathing, and relaxation exercises which help cultivate a calm mind, improve gross and fine motor skills, improve concentration, and help with understanding emotions. Games, drawing, stories and music make this an engaging class for your little love!(*must be potty trained*parents encouraged to leave so kids can explore independence!)
The Zentangle Method is an easy-to-learn, fun and relaxing way to create beautiful images using structured patterns. It increases focus and creativity, provides artistic satisfaction along with an increased sense of personal well-being. The Zentangle Method is enjoyed all over this world across a wide range of skills, interests and ages. If you can write your name, you can learn the Zentangle Method. Inamojo™ is a well-being program for children 5 through 8 years old that weaves stories, movement, art, meditation, and specially -composed music together into a magical and inspiring experience for children. Your child can join this magical journey and giggle, dance, and imagine while learning beautiful tools to navigate their lives.
Inamojo™ offers wellbeing programs for children of elementary school age. Our programs nurture creativity and imagination through play while addressing all levels of healthy developmental growth: physical, cognitive, emotional and social.
Weaving original music and stories with mindful practices such as meditation, breath awareness, expressive movement and art, inamojo wellbeing programs nurture children on inner journeys of self-enquiry, self-discovery, and self-awareness.
Inamojo is based on the eastern integrative ‘map’ of the chakra system, together with Jungian psychology and a variety of contemporary Early Childhood Development theories. These foundations are not discussed explicitly in inamojo classes, obviously, but they underpin and drive the key developmental themes in each class: trusting instincts; emotional expression; self-esteem; compassion; communication; intuition and imagination; and self-awareness.
