Yoga Nidra targets Alpha brain waves, allowing the body to relax from the inside out. This practice promotes healthy sleep, relaxation, tension release, and balance of body & mind. Following the meditation practitioners are immersed in the healing sounds of crystal bowls. Each bowl resonates with a chakra in the body, aiming to release blockages within that chakra, allowing for greater balance and harmony within the body.
Let’s give a little love and attention to our hands and wrists! In this class there will be no planks or chaturangas; we’re even giving our faithful downward dog a break. This flow class will instead focus on balancing postures, leg-strengthening poses, and a little bit of core work. This practice is designed for those who might be recovering from a wrist or hand injury or just want to try something a little different. See you on the mat!
Immerse yourself in the enchanting sounds of the gong, singing bowls, chimes, rain sticks & ocean drum. Effortlessly release negative patterns of the mind & reduce stress naturally during this relaxing musical meditation. The sound vibrations impact our nervous system, reduce brain wave activity, slow respiratory & heart rate creating the perfect condition to release blocked energy and bring the body back into alignment.
We welcome you to a special afternoon of exploring the elements within and around us. Each element carries emotional and physical properties and each corresponds with a different chakra. Come find a deeper connection to the healing power of earth, water, fire, air, and ether through a mix of gentle and yin yoga, all done on the floor. along with Sound Healing (singing bowls, drumming, tuning forks, chimes ) by Kerri Anderson from Healing In Harmony Wellness Center.
We deal with so many life stressors that can create or worsen anxiety. This class is a great way to restore balance. Participants will practice restorative yoga postures, pranayama, mudras and meditation that aid in the alleviation of stress and anxiety. Essential oils will be diffused and weighted sandbags will be used to enhance your experience of relaxation, release, and deep restoration.
Children will learn yoga poses and concepts, and practice breathing and meditation exercises in a fun and supportive environment. These practices help cultivate a calm mind, improve strength and flexibility, improve concentration, enhance self awareness, and build confidence.
Uniting deep stretching, soft movement, and rest to release the body of tightness and tension and calm the mind. Ending w/ an extended restorative savasana where students will receive several minutes of reiki, an ancient healing technique promoting healthy flow of the energy within us supporting the bodies healing. Essential oils and Sound Healing will further deepen your relaxation and mental ease.
This class is for athletes from 5th to 12th grade who would like to prepare their bodies and minds for peak performance in athletics. Regularly practicing yoga can help breathing, flexibility ,improve motion in the joints, and increase blood flow along with building strength, confidence and endurance. Yoga can also help prevent injuries and speed recovery from strenuous workouts.
